Blue Valley Capital was founded in 2025 as a joint venture of two family offices. Having collaborated successfully for nearly 20 years, Peter McGowan and Scott Hamberger created Blue Valley Capital as a way to bring their track record of success in financing and operations to an investment platform.

Scott M. Hamberger
Partner
Scott M. Hamberger is an entrepreneur, investor, board member, and philanthropist. He defines his personal mission as increasing human flourishing through the vocation of business. Scott founded his first business, Fortessa Tableware Solutions, while in college in 1993, which he led from a garage start-up to global leadership within its industry and an approximate $100mm enterprise value. In 2022 Scott merged that business with Zwiesel Kristallglas of Germany to create a group with more than $200mm in revenue and 1000 employees.
Following a successful merger, he set his sights on new opportunities to pursue his mission. Scott is a skilled strategic thinker with a particular talent for analysis and marketing innovation. Scott demonstrates excellent communication skills and is an accomplished public speaker and writer. These talents give him an ability to identify, articulate, and lead the implementation of strategic plans. He has deep experience in the key elements necessary for successful business growth: governance, business development strategy, business processes, infrastructure, and capital.

Peter M. McGowan

Peter McGowan has over 30 years of M&A, financial advisory, investment banking, and operations management experience, and has advised clients in the consumer, electronics, transportation and logistics sectors. He retains an affiliation with the investment bank Bengur Bryan, from which he retired as a Managing Director. Prior to joining Bengur Bryan, Mr. McGowan was a Managing Director for three years in the Business Services Banking area of The Marcum Group, LLC, in New York. Previously, he worked with RBC Capital Markets, Ferris Baker, Watts, and Lehman Brothers. Earlier Mr. McGowan spent over 12 years as a Managing Director with Alex. Brown & Sons, also in New York, with a focus on starting a dedicated practice following electronics companies, including the EMS and semiconductor capital equipment sectors. He began his career at Kidder, Peabody, as a Senior Vice President.
Peter brings rich experience in the capital to markets to bear on practical business situations. He demonstrates the ability and creativity to find the right financing solution at the right time for growth businesses.
